Loving the grille surround. Remember to take some some pics of the whole front end when you next wash it, will be interesting to see what it looks like regarding the headlights not matching.

Looking good there char. How many coats did you put on and did you rub it down well? I have some small chips out of mine but hopefully il be.getting all sprayed along with the wing mirrors in a few weeks :) when I get the front done

2 coats of primer, 2 coats of paint and 2 coats of laquer.

Its just the paper i covered the grille with, overlapped a bit onto the frame so left little chrome gaps. Looks horrible up close but about 5 metres away looks fab.

I'll do it again at some point.

Plenty of layers then lmao. Should have a good.finish by sounds of it :)

You will.be rubbing down for a bit if you do it again lol

how much and where did you get your wind deflectors by the way?

Are they not heko ones?
If not are.they decent quality?

I loved yours when I saw them at inters and wanted some :) hopefully.will.cure the water problem when you open your window in the morning haha

No they are heko.

Ah I used to love that, forget there was water on the roof, window open, turn a corner, morning shower all over again lol. Rubbish.

Quick pic of how the lights look with the black surround now.

Re the Deflectors:
I ordered them off amazon too, the HEKO ones. Came to fit them, and managed to snap the wafer thin blade at the top end that fits into the window channel at the rear end of the door. On both of them!! Now because that is not fitted snugly, the windows hit the plastic, and the auto stop sensors kick in and send the window bak down again!! So so angry with myself at letting them snap during the fitting. Ive had to remove them while i think what to do and how to fit them with some sort of alteration......
:(

I snapped one of Char's when I fitted them before Inters  lucky I had a spare set

For the windows, try easing the top of the deflector out a little bit from the window (pull towards you) while putting the window up and down a few times. I did this then left the window closed for 24-48 hours to help them set into the frame, never had a problem with the windows going down :)

Haha he did indeed snap one, to be fair they are stupidly thin at the end. Can't really think of way you could fix them :(

OK interesting, that might just be worth a try. Otherwise they will just sit round my parents garage gathering dust!! Cheers for the tip!

They are steel brackets. It is a forum members idea brought over from my previous car. He has never had any problems. There's a guides some where but I can't seem to find it.
