after a quick google search , stick a garment in the freezer to get it cold thus making it hard so it peels off
as its your car seat and i doubt it will fit in your freezer CLICK THIS (found this in the same oogle search )
Right I have scrapped most of it off, however am now left with a stain type mark with bits of gum still in it. It's only taken 2 hours off carefull scrapping so far.
If you do a search on Detailingworld there was a post quite a while ago about exactly this. Can't remember the name of the product but it is used by carpet cleaning companies and you spray it on IIRC and leave it to soak. Gum then just lifts off.
It's almost all gone, just needs another hour or two of scrubbing.
I will post pics later....... Have spent two days scrubbing the seat.
The tools I have used so far are:-
2No. Ice Cubes.
A Cup of Water
A nail file (to gently pick the chewing gum out of the seat, this takes forever!!!)
A Toothbrush to scrub the stain in between holding the ice cubes on it and putting water onto it.
A Dish Cloth for drying the area before putting the icecube back on it.
All I can say is DO NOT let anyone use chewing gum in your car.
I had the same issue a while back. I used compressed air, you know the kind that you use to clean keyboards out with. That froze it and I just peeled it off.
You could try Freeze spray, you can get it from Maplin etc, its used for cooling electronic stuff, or as the Goddess says Air Duster spray, if you turn the can upside down neat CO2 comes out very cold!!
