I've had a quote from Seat of £400 to replace one of the front parking sensors. Not the whole array, just the drivers side outer sensor. This seems like an outrageous amount given that the sensors seem to be available for £30-40.

Has anyone done this job themselves? Specifically, how do you remove the sensor from the bumper? Does it need the bumper to be off to push the sensor through.

Any help gratefully received.

Fair point, but I'd still rather spend £120 for a genuine sensor, and then fit it myself. If it's an easy job. Anyone know how the sensors are fitted? Do you need access to the back of the bumper to get them out?

I did the centre ones without the bumper off. You’ll find info if you look through my posts. Not sure how you get at the outer ones though, hopefully I never have to find out.

I think a genuine sensor for me was less than £40, but the actual part differs depending on location, plus you may also need painted.
