Chipped paint

I noticed 3 little chips off the paint on the bonnet on our new Ibiza. I'm certain it's something flicked up from all the gritting recently.

Is it best to take it to the dealer for them to touch up with the right colour or are there any alternatives? I don't want it to go manky, the chips look quite deep

Hi , Is your car a metallic colour as I found these chip a lot easier than standard finishes.
I,ve just been to my Seat Dealer for a Paint touch up Kit for my Dakota Red Bocanegra and been told that Seat don,t have such a thing at the moment!!!. Can any one tell if this will be corrected in the near future as I always like to have one handy for that inevitable chip that is lurking around the corner. Does any one also know if Seat do the Titanium Colour for the Boca ;wheels as I,m sure they will chip one day.

Hi guys it is a nightmare getting stone chips I had the whole of the front of my boc done in venture shield stone protection isn't cheap but does stop all them probs Bocawata is correct at mo seat don't have any paint sticks of Dakota red at presant as also they use this colour on the exeo model to and that's been out a while! I got a paint mixing company to make me a pot up they said it like a pearl paint because it has a tint of orange in the mix, il find the company for you I got it the next day they do all paints and stone chip kits

just out of intrest stu how much did you pay for the venture sheild if you dont mind me asking, and how long does it take to apply

Hi Stu, Just read your reply with interest and it seems strange to me that such a simple thing as a Touch up Stick is not put into the system as soon as a"New Colour" hits the market!!.
Thanks for saying you will look out the company that supplied you with the colour of Dakota Red ,I wonder if they might also have Titanium on their list as well for the wheels. I had a wheel off at the weekend and inadvertently stood it against a low brick wall and when I came to fit it back on the car found a very small mark on the paint, BEWARE all you BOCA owners there is trouble ahead if your not careful with those wheels !!!!.

Hi guys the name for the company for your touch up paints is (fixachip custom car touch up paints). You can order on line or just call them really found them helpfull, as far as the rims go i know you just want to keep them in cotton wool but if we can get the paint code im sure they could do us a pot for themHey Dave217 yes the venturesheild isnt cheap but depends how you look at it , mine came to 700 notes but that was all of the front ie, all lights whole bonnet, front bumper, wing mirrors,top piece of glass just in front of sunroof, side wings and a bespoke piece around the rear bumber to act in the place of rear mudflaps. Trouble is its just knowing when to stop As i on mway every day it protects it no end just couldn't be bothered to have the front end sprayed every five mins!

Seat carry very few colours as Touch up kits. My Dealer made up paint for me for both Ruby Red and Track Grey, in a little pot with a brush in the Lid.

emotion red was in stock at my dealer did not need to order, ordered citrus yellow took 2 days cost about £8.00.
with regards to touching up your red car, I had a few chips and done them my self (emotion red) use a artests brush a very small one, google how to remove stone chips, I then done what was said? could not find stonechips afterwards, having more of a problum with the citrus yellow touch up looks a bit crap.

cheers stu, im tempted as i have a white car its black underneath when i get chips, i have spotted a couple on the front and one bigger one on the back, i dont do much motorway driving as i live local to work, i may just push the boat out and invest my many millions into a touch up stick for the time being, thanks anyway

Hi Bocawata no problem to be honest when I spoke to them I said the make and model and just said the colour and the guy found the code straight away, if you do a email just type in the comments box should be fine. Don't for get the clear coat to

Alrite guys im just back from the stealers went in to buy touch up paint for this damage and met the salesman who sold me my car back in November.

He took alook at this and supposidley there was another bloke in with a Boc earlier this month....(Seat Pheonix Park Linwood) If the owner of this Boc is on this forum.

Going in tomorrow to have pictures taken and sent off to Seat as this could be covered under the warranty.

Yes every black mark is a chip.

me neither. Thanks for the advise on the touch up I have 3 chips now on the bonnet and they bug the hell outa me every time I was and wax the car. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

yeah i got one in the middle of my bumper before! dunno how it go there tbh! but got touch up paint!

But anyway! i got huge stone chip on my bumper! but you can't see it really! and few on the bonnet!
