Chipping SE TDI

Hi guys

I'm a bit new to this, but i need to ask you guys, if you have had any bad experiences with chipping a Ibiza TDI?

Is the quality of the car made any better?

I have fitted a tunning box to mine, and yes it did help.

i havent heard of any bad experiences from a proper chip/remap, i would recommend an Upsolute remap, they travel to you and we have never heard a bad word about them, especially on the older non PDs.

I don't remember there being an SE version of the mk2 Ibiza.
SXE? or mk4 SE?

Anyhow if it is the SXE then I've messed around with a couple of those units.
Tuning box gives you big wallop of torque at bottom end and a better top end.
Re-map gives you a smoother wallop of torque and a better top end.
Uprated injectors give you a factory like power delivery with just a bit more of everything right up through the rev range.

I've also mixed and matched the above and would have to say that the Upsolute re-map is the best stand alone mod, add in the injectors and it's very very quick (for a non PD Diesel) but fuel economy goes out of the window somewhat.

I got mine from http://www.tdi-tuning.co.uk/ they sell alot of there stock on ebay, got my box for £80 all in.

Thanks GTV, just another question im guessing you have the 1z engine too, do you have an 8 pin or 10 pin as i haven't picked the car up yet and might just order one now so i can have the power sooner.

No I have a AHU engine in mine I am afraid.

1z will be an 8 pin from what i understand. 10 pins are the newer (if you can still use that phrase with the non pd's) ones.

Cheers stew i think i'll play it safe and wait till iv'e got the car here then just to make sure it is the 1z and does have an 8 pin not 10 pin.
