So I just got back from Brands Hatch, after doing my ARDs Racing National 'B' license test. Passed with ease ;)

Will be looking for a little car to strip out and race with my dad and brother. Perhaps a saxo or mk2/3 Ibiza?

2.0 litre engine aint it? how much bhp do they have? surprised as an FR is a diesel correct? Therefore diesels have more torque than petrols so cant imagine what the petrol torque is like

Hey Chris, Cant Believe I Have Only Just Looked At Your Thread, Im Liking The Carbon Bits You've Done And Car Is Looking Nice And Shiny :D

As For The Leon The FR If Petrol Was Probably The 200Bhp Petrol 2.0T, My Dads Mate Has One On A Stage Two :p Its Mega Fast

Need to work out what to do with the car whilst I'm at Uni?

Should I use a car cover, or might I get similar issues as people with bonnet bras. Ie; water being trapped between the paint and cover causing lacquer to lift / bubble? Or am I better off leaving it without a cover, where it might be prone to bird poop etc. ?

I shall use it whilst your away and will perform regular maintanence plus a wash each week with a claybar, polish and wax every 3 months :)

Deal?

a well fitted car cover will be fine, if there's no water getting in then you wont have any issues. just whatever you do dont get a halfords one as they nearly never fit properly!

and get a parent or similar to take it a wee drive every now and then!

Can't believe that FR sold for £3250..... It has 9k miles for gods sake!

Some lucky bugger who won it. If I wasn't off to Uni in the next few days I would have considered buying it! FR insurance is £1400 for me.

Im deciding this too, leaving her all locked up in the garage, battery disconnected and car cover to keep dust off her. Which uni you off to?
