Well, once again, I was following people all the way home..... Everyone was doing 25 in a 30, 35 in a 40... so aggravating!

Okay just received a set of "warm white" sidelights which are meant to be pure white...

Yeah....they turned out to be really yellow, so back to my blue sidelights!

They have pairs of pure white 9 led 501s for 8 quid. If you want to see a pic first have a look at TOm's rr thread

Thanks mate. I think they're actually a similar colour to my current ones. Not really blue, but not pure white either. Ah well, I'm gunna stick with my current ones until they blow, then I'll get some PIAA ones.

PIAA sidelights are made by a Japanese company. Meant to be top notch quality and really white if you get the right model.

Rocky, if you watch from 1:09, they don't look terribly white. Slightly yellow..

Did you get the PIAA sidelight bulbs in the end?

Ive got the Osram Nightbreakers but im wanting to change the yellow looking sidelight bulbs.

Well, after receiving the recommended "warm white" sidelight, to give a better colour than a blue tinge, they turned out yellow.. So I just gave up and stuck with my current blue-ish ones.

Ok cheers. Ill go for some cheaper eBay sidelights bulbs then and hopefully I'll get a good combination with the nightbreakers.

Did you get the Nightbreaker 'plus' headlights? They are the newer model; I had the original Nightbreakers, so would be interested to see the difference.

However, I have HIDs at the moment, which are whiter than normal halogens, so harder to find matching sidelights! Anyone on here have PIAA sidelights??

Yeah ive got the nightbreaker plus bulbs, I can't imagine there been much difference.

So you had the PIAA bulbs but they looked yellow next to yours hids?

Have you got any more plans for your car? I'm in the same boat as you, not worth doing any performance mods because of insurance and the fact there wouldnt be much gain in 1.4/1.2's

Oh, no, I haven't ever used PIAA bulbs. I was recommended a set off eBay by a member from SCN who had a good set (meant to be pure white), however I was sent a pair that was very yellow (more so than OEM bulbs!).

I am tempted by PIAA as they have good reviews, but for the moment I guess my cheapy eBay blue-ish ones are okay. I think I have pictures of them somewhere in this thread.

The 'plus' nightbreakers are meant to be slightly whiter, apparently..

Not really sure about any more mods to be honest.. Still got a Cupra exhaust in my garage, which I suppose I could investigate this year.

I recently fitted my dead pedal/clutch rest metal plate the other week to finish off the footwell.

Just ask for a 'plain' one, in an e-mail/paypal note after buying it.

You just need to undo the plastic plate in the footwell, and remove it. Line up the screw holes, and just drill 1/4" holes, and use the included nuts/washers etc to fit it.

That dead pedal looks good, might invest in one sometime
