Fill the tank to the brim until the click, take the nossle out, push the rubber button until all the air hisses out then fill up until it clicks again.
Thanks for that RF, next time I brim it I'll try it out.

Only reason I brimmed mine yesterday was because the local BP was doing a special one day offer on petrol and diesel... I ended up getting the fuel for 2p per litre less than any other station nearby.

Diesel though...you probably get twice the MPG that I do..

You'd think I did, but only being a PD100 and a 5 speed its not as economic as say an fr with a 6 speed. Least not with how I drive it... A normal tank lasts me about 420 miles :(

Hasn't your induction kit caused your car to drink petrol?!

I have taken it off, didn't have it on long enough to see.
I will put it on and then fill up and see what i get.

I did stick a tenner in with it on and still got just over 100 miles though.

We need to calculate pence per mile. That would be more handy. I currently get 20.5p/mile :(
Fuelly reckons mine's costing me 18-19p per mile. I'll get an accurate figure when I next fill up.

So Chris how many miles have you done since filling? I've done ~45 miles. I'd say the gauge hasn't really moved at all yet.

Okay so I popped down to Halfords and ended up buying this :)

Only £45!! Includes a 2 tonne trolley jack, 2 tonne axle stands, wheel chocks, breaker bar (acts as the handle for the jack) and a car creeper. Also came with a this piece of wood ( I guess to help support the jack?).

It was such a bargain, I couldn't not buy it! I didn't really feel comfortable using the VAG Widow Maker jack, so :)

Good man, i've never used the widow maker as i never trusted it, got me a trolley jack kit like yours without the creeper. Still have the widow maker in the boot for roadside emergencies ie, tyre changes !

Good point! Should I still be using the same jacking points, or is there another safe point on the car where I won't crush important bits?

Where are the jacking points? My jack has a bit that fits into the 'rail' on the sill, have'nt seen any jacking points
