Hi,

On my 2019 Cupra Ateca, it seems that central vents don't blow any warm/hot air when climate control is in Auto mode (with or without A/C), although side/windows/rear vents do blow hot air. On the other side, if I select the front vents knob (which disables the Auto mode), then the central vents will blow hot air as expected so flaps and vents seem Ok. It looks that it is more a regulation issue.

Is that normal, is your car behaving like this as well ?
Thanks.

I'd have to test mine. I keep it on auto all the time as told by the dealer when I bought it except I give it the full blast when de-icing, mist, off and back to auto. I'm lead to believe it moves the air around the vents on auto. Someone probably has the answer by the book. Probably reads the temperature from assorted sensors and changes the air flow as required. Rings a bell about people saying some sensors may be out when this has come up in the past. Normally auto does the job. Dry eye you move the vanes to protect against that if you suffer from that condition.

I am not sure but it measures the cabin temperature and outside temperature corelation to desired temperature at clima control. When hot outside only the front facing vents working, on the other hand when ı want to warm up the cabin, upper and lower vents working only.
