I have a 2006 Toledo with the Dual climate control, same as the Altea and I believe the latest Leon. I know how to access the codes within the climate control but have been unable to determine some of the results. I know that 19.0 gives your current speed in KPH and 19.1 appears to be oil pressure. Does anybody have the ful list of codes for the latest models as much of the info on the net relates to the old models and the codes are different.:confused

Interesting - I didn't think this worked for the new climate control systems. How do you get to the menu?

I thought that to but some research on the net for VW group cars produced the following:

Press ECON and the UP ARROW button, the one that puts the air near the windscreen vents, together.

Then the left temp display and panel show the channel + subchannel. The large number is the main channel, with the little number top right being the sub channel. The right channel will show the result, i.e. speed in KPH when 19.0 is selected.

To select the main channel (19 in above example) use the left temperature controls. To select the sub channel (.0 above) use the fan speed controls.

The next issue that I am having difficulty with is what each channel displays. The limited details I have for Audi cars does not exactly agree with SEAT cars. I assume because SEAT as usual have a cut down or modified version.

Sorry forgot to mention final key step! Pressing ECON button will turn off the diagnostic option and revert the climate control to normal.

I found this list but it relates to the older climate control systems in VW group cars. It does not link to the dual control system fitted in later models including the Seat Altea etc. For example on this list 17 is speed in KPH, on the dual system I know that 19.0 is the speed in KPH.

Might be worth asking someone on the AudiWorld Forum, that's where the original list came from. I'm assuming that some Audi's also come with the same dual climate control system.

No real progress except:
19.0 KPH
19.1 Oil pressure
19.2 RPM
19.3 Does not work but may be MPH if switched on via vag com

The problem seems to be that the system used by SEAT is a modified version of the VW/Audi set up and the codes do not always read across. If I establish any more I will post.

careful with climate control codes

As a precaution I'd like to mention, that in our german board we were through with this topic right after one of our major technical expert "Theresias" (VAG-COM/Rosstech) published an official warning, not to toy around with the climate control codes

=> diagnose function of the climate control

Up to that time ,we had gathered quite a bunch of possible connections ... when we were warned, that the diagnose of the CC might as well change parameters, as it's used by the maintenance technicians and can do harm to your CC if not properly set.

I feel you should know about it ... thou noone in our board has yet reported that trouble occured while checking his CC codes ... but on the other hand, no further investigative posts came up after I posted this in 09/2005 (post#5).

Sorry, that I have to leave you with the above mentioned german thread ... but maybe some of you will be able to understand at least some of it.

greets .... Klaus
