Climate control wiring diagram

Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the climate controll to the ac compressor? Im trying to diagnose a fault in the system. So far I have concluded that the compressor clutch is dead, so needs a whole new compressor.

The only thing I'm woried about is that there is only 7.5V being supplied to the compressor when its meant to be running, and I would expect it to be 12V (anyone confirm?). So before I shell out for a new compressor I would like to check the wiring and make sure there isnt a problem there aswell.

Thanks

always under the impression that the gas pressure regulated wether the clutch would operate or not so it wouldn't kick in and burn out if the system needed regas or was leaking etc

might be worth getting it looked at properly as it is a good £250/£300 for an aftermarket compressor as it does come with the clutch complete not seperate :(

don't forget they are also temperature controlled and annoyingly all the flaps to the heater are electronically controlled too and have a habit of jamming up or siezing

all of which won't help mind

i have about 15 pages of flow diagrams if you want copies at all and that's just the internal system, still looking for the engine side :(

If you have any copies of anything related to the system then a copy would be great! I assumed all of the pressure switches and temperature gauges went directly to the climate ECU, which then sent the signal directly to the AC clutch.

The cheapest aftermarket compressor is £300, which is a lot! + it will need a regas then aswell. im still deciding whether it is woorth paying out that amount - and part of that decision is whether the electrics/computer are playing up aswell as the clutch.

if you have any diagrams, would it be easier for you to email them to me?

Hi,

It appears i am having the same problem as yourself!! My air-conditioning stopped working the other day, i have had my neighbor (who is a refrigerator specialist) check the gas which appears to be fine (standing pressure 5bar??). I checked the voltage that is being sent to the compressor and it is only 6v, what also concerns me is it makes no difference if the air-conditioning is on or off it still remains at 6v. Have you resolved your problem yet and if so how?

Speaking of which can climate control be easily fitted on a 'S' model? would be an interesting mod
