Climatic to climatronic control panel retrofit

Hi,
i recently bought a 2011 seat leon with manual AC and I’ve been wanting to retrofit the climatronic panel. I don’t care about dual zone or other features apart from maybe the automatic function. What would be necessary to do something like this if I really just wanted to swap the panel and possibly add a thermometer for the auto climate?

If it's anything like the Mk1, then it's a completely different system, one is cable driven, the other is fully electronic. You would need all the motors, flaps ducting etc etc, huge job probably involving removing the entire dash.

I've done this on my pre-facelift Leon 1P.

It's quite a large job tbh, but very satisfying when/if you get it working. For me it required the complete airconditioning box from a car with climatronic. I went to a breakers yard to find one. Here are some highlights:
- The entire dashboard needs to be removed
- The aircon box needs to be disconnected from the AC lines in the engine, so you need to have your AC system drained. It's quite difficult to get to the 2 bolts from the top of the engine but manageable
- You need to rewire the 20ish wires there are, but they are present already
- Ensure you have the correct AC box. I believe for the facelift there is only one, but on pre-facelift there are 2 versions, differing in the air intake if there's 1 or 2 motors to open the intake.
- You need to get the sunlight temperature sensor and the temperature sensors for the driver and passenger air outlets from the dashboard, so it might just be easier to take the entire dashboard from a climatronic version.
