Climatronic display flashing

Has anyone experienced the Climatronic display flashing with lots of 8's on display for approx 15 seconds once the ignition is switched on? After approx 15 seconds it functions normally with the correct display, fault memory doesn't show any faults with the heating controls but does show static faults with defroster flap and centre flap, I've never owned an ibiza before so not sure if this is normal behaviour of whether the unit itself may be faulty.

I believe this happens when the system need regassing.

Yep, mine did this not long ago, regassed and it's been fine since

Thanks guys, makes sense actually as the air coming out even on low is not that cold and I only bought the car 3 weeks ago judging by the lack of recent history I'd say it's likely to be well overdue... Thanks for the advice
