When using the Climate control in the new car, I have noticed that if I press the Auto button like I used to in my old Seat Ibiza, that the AC button indicator also comes on!!!! Is this normal?
If it's like the climate control in my Toledo, then yes it comes on with auto, and no it doesn't turn off after a while. What I tend to do is push auto, then the 'sun' button to have it regulate the temperature but without the loss of mpg that aircon has.
Aski is right in that it assumes that it needs aircon to meet the temperature requirements. But when you want the car warmer than ambient then aircon has nothing to do. It's only trying to cool the interior that benefits from aircon. And at the moment I'm guessing cold is not the way you want to go!
Yeah perfectly normal just switch the ac button after to turn it off (if you want) the auto feature will still be enabled but without the ac assistance so might take longer to cool down
