clock losing time

recently purchased a mk2 cupra.. keep having to reset the 'time' on the clocks.. its ok if i set it in the morning, etc.. fine later on in evening, but if left for say 24hrs, its gone .. 00:00 again! bit of a PITA .. any one any ideas??????
seems that its poss not getting a permanant live?

Mine does the same to m8. S Reg Mk 16v Cupra.
