clocks/dials swap

hey all the clocks in my car arent up2 much and some1 who previously owned it took the engine managment bulb out, and also now and again the lights behind the clocks go on and off as if im going over rough ground when i aint! so i have new clocks to go in and have use of a vag com just need to realign them but was told its not the same as changing the ecu.

i have asked in the vag-com section but ive had no reply there so im going to try here and if anyone knows as im sure someone on here done it the other day let me know as its doin my head in now lol

when my clocks went wrong and i had them changed the immobiliser had to be coded, you can sort the mileage with vag com i believe.

do you know how to code them on vag com m8? i was told it uses a different proceedure to the one used to swap the ecu

any thoughts welcome

not sure how you'd do them on vagcom if you can, mine got coded at the dealers as apparently thats the only place that can do it or i was told this anyway by the garage that did it.
