You dont say what model you have or mileage mate but its difficult to diagnose with the info you posted?
you say it makes a clunk noise when you put the clutch down, so is the noise in the car down in the pedal box area? or outside the car.
if down in the pedal box area is it the pedal box bushings? or a cracked clutch pedal ? if outside the car it could be any number of things from worn engine/gearbox mountings to suspension mounts coming on and off load.
if you dont work the clutch and go on/off the power in say 2nd gear from 15mph can you get the noise then ? if so its related to some mount suspension or engine gearbox. or if extreme is it a worn drive shaft joint? all worth checking.

I fink your car may be poorly. Take it to the car doctors and get it sorted. 
In all honesty, that doesnt sound good. My car when I put the clutch in when it's idling, the engine note does change slightly and when the gearbox is cold, 2nd gear is a little bit crunchy. Also, if you dont come off the clutch smoothly when changing gears and you boot it, you could be stressing the car a bit?

sorry, its a 07reg done 18300miles, its the 1.4 16v sport model.
i fink its comin from the spedal area, it does it every time you put the clutch down and come up off the pedal when its in gear and the accelerator pedal does it to, it does it in every gear.
it only past an mot monday before i picked it up from the dealer, i will have to take it back and see what they say.
i dont realy put my foot down in it to be honest, but i will try to the gear changes a bit more smoothly and see if that makes a change.

yeah it is mate got 12 months with it.
i took it back 2day and they said there busy so had to book it in next thursday. just have to take it easy with it and hope it aint guna take long to sort.

you can hear, it kind of gets annoying agter a while. it only seems to do it when your driving at normal speed limits if you do abit faster when chaging it doesnt reealy do it. gess i will just have to wait and see what seat say about it when i take it back, hopfully it aint a big job.
