My car seems to be making a loud clunking noise on the front drivers side, I have no idea what it is, my dad seems to think it may be my tracking rod end, i have also had a quick look at my suspension but it looks fine, any ideas anyone? Plus will upgrading my alloys to FR ones void my warranty?

I doubt alloy changes will void your warrenty, but if there is a problem caused by you changing the wheel they may not pay up.

Have you tried lifting the wheel of the ground using a jack and seeing if there is any play within the wheel itself or seing if it feels lose? Maybe the bearings in the hub could be damanged. Might as well take it back to Seat if its under warrenty and just say there is a loud clunk noise on one of the wheels and say nothing else.
 
my fiesta did that just before both front springs snapped at the same time :O the guy who recovered it said it was a common problem on small hatches. Dealer fixed it under the last week of warranty :p
 
If its under warranty then take it to the dealer
Could be your suspension top mounts, drop links(although not usually a loud clunk), front bushes worn (common problem, had mine done under warranty) or broken front spring
 
Took It To My Girlfriends Uncle Who Is A Mechanic He Had A Look At It And Told Me That It Was The Bushes, So Its Annoyingly Going Back Into SEAT Tomorrow After I Told Them I Was Rather Annoyed At The Fact I Had The Bushes Replaced In September, So They Are Giving Me Cupra Bushes As I Requested :)
 
interesting ,bushes were more a creaking noise when mine went.the knocking noise i got was from worn drop links but glad your sorted for nothing anyway :)
 
Good idea getting cupra bushes mate, best thing I changed on my car :) they really do make a difference, the standard ones are aweful
 
Yep, knocking can be the consul bushes or the ARB, however I think with the OP's car being a 2007 it won't have been made with the same defective piece of crap ARB that mine was.
 
I got decent regular ones from my mate and haven't had any bother with them. You have to watch they don't get damaged when fitting and also if they're badly worn they can oval the hole in the wishbone. Mines clunked though, as well as my bottom ball joints, my track rod ends, my arb links and the right hand steering rack arm lol and now I've got a broken spring on the rear.:D
 
Well turns out when I crashed my car that the insurane companies repair shop put on an older and softer style bush which caused the car to lean on that side and caused it to split, and because it wasn't a seat fitted part it is part of my warranty and I now need to contact the garage who fitted it and get that done under there warranty :(
 
Bloody plonkers. It winds me up the way some of these places fit the cheapest most inferior parts and then charge more for them. This is why I like to fix my own car, I just don't have faith in garages. Even the standard bushes of decent quality work fine but I have seen cheap nasty ones and they're terrible.
