Clutch/Gearbox problems

Anybody any ideas if this would be the clutch or the gearbox

When i try to change gear sometimes it wont go into gear or it makes a crunching noise
Only way to stop this is when changing gear putting clutch right to the floor and taking it out of gear then slowly letting clutch up about 2/3cm then easing it into next gear
Going into secong gear it nearly always crunches then 3/4 are not to bad then goes into 5th very easily
happens all the time weather cold or warm engine

Dont want to drive it cause it will probably cause more damage
will get it looked at this weekend but want an idea what it may be

i have a similar problem although it doesn't sound quite as bad as yours.

I am having my gearbox oil changed at the weekend which apparently may or may not help. I'll post up next week.
