Clutch slip

Hi sorry to be a pain but I got a 03 reg leon Cupra and have recently had a stage 1 remap running bout 210 bhp and when I in a high gear and put my foot down the clutch slips it does not do it off the mark or through gears does this mean my clutch is on it's way out or it it beacuse of the remap . Thanks for taking the time to read this and I'd apriciate any advice

Yeah the extra torque is causing it to slip,time for a new clutch mate.

I would imagine a good quality standard clutch will suffice as your not really running big power,I'd imagine it's just worn and probably about to go anyway,no idea on costs as I do mine myself and last one I put in was standard as I was running similar power to yourself,I will be uprating in the next 6-12 months though as I'm doing a hybrid conversion but not got as far as looking into the new clutch yet.

Would I also have to change the flywheel as well have read that u do on one site and have read that u don't on anouther

You won't know until you remove the box and clutch and inspect the flywheel mate
