Clutch - Warranty

This is rather worrying to be honest. My clutch seemed fine when the engine was warm last week, but after the service it seems to slip worse than ever. My fear is the oil change and the diag reset has given the car its full power back and the clutch isn't to happy about it.

I read above about 7k being the limit on the Seat Warranty for the clutch. I'll probably be left with no other option but to get a sach clutch. However, I'm going to get my monies worth out of this one. Steady driving for the next 10k I reckon. Also I notice when the engine does get up to temperature the clutch slowly follows and the slip seems to slighten.

Hmmmm

if you uprate the clutch it wont invalidate your warranty as it will look standard (without the chip) so if your worried your headlights steam up or your climate control breaks it will still be replaced under warranty the only thing they wont cover under warranty is engine and transmission because it would have been modifyed with sachs clutch but if you didnt tell them they wouldnt know any diffrent!

LOL Rash, you won't believe it but when I got my car back yesterday the front headlight had steamed up after the dealer had cleaned the car. I take it they are covered to then? I need to make the most out of my warranty while I can I think.

Has anyone driven a car with the uprated clutch? This is my work horse so I don't want a heavy clutch. I had a calf like a mule back in the day when I had a 405 STDT. I remember borrowing the misses punto Gt one day and nearly kicking a hole in her footwell. It's not till you drive another car you realise how the clutches and the brakes vary. :D

yes the headlights are covered under warranty been covered thousands of times so try a search

ul only be changing the friction plate and the pressure plate with theuprated clutch mite make it bite earlier/later/harsher ect but shouldnt make it to much stiffer!

if you want to keep the power ul have to buty the clutch if your not bothered about the power then ditch the chip and get the standard 1 replaced simple

I'll probably end up uprating the clutch. I just be grudge paying all that money for one though. lol. Even though its a work motor its nice to have the extra power. I'll probably hold off for a bit and when I do get the clutch i'll get a fully custom remap with ultimate power on the standard turbo. :D

Phase 2 CC isn't really a custom map though. I'd rather P-Torque or Bell Autos did a fully customized map instead. Still I have to agree I shattered the turbo on my old 110 tdi. :S
