Hi all, wondering if someone could help or give me some advise??

I'm currently in the middle of fitting a cobra cat back exhaust onto my LCR 225 using drive on ramps. After much angle grinding and swearing I have managed to get the old exhaust off, but have run into a bit of trouble Tring to get the middle section (where it joins the rear box) over the rear beam. It seems like the car needs to be higher to get the right angle..

Has anyone else had this problem and if so can you offer a solution?? Is it a case that need to jack the car body up a bit to make more room??

Can any one help?? Cheers :)

As you discovered, it's a pig of a job to get the old one off! From what I remember, it's just fiddly getting a replacement exhaust back on though, I'd definitely jack up the rear (so the wheels are off the floor/axle is lower). Will give you much more room

Thanks pedro, Will give it another go in the morning. Back wheels are on ramps but thinking if I jack the body up, weight off suspension then hopefully enough room.. looked so simple when I started..

Well after a a lot more swearing, a big hammer and pri bar I got the exhaust on.. If anyone else is thinking about fitting it themselves then either get the car up high to give you room or take to a garage and get them to fit it :)
