Morning all,
Have any of you had issues with the gaskets supplied with Cobra Sport products? I recently had a down pipe and sports cat fitted to my LCR using the supplied gasket between the turbo and down pipe. This failed within 400 miles causing a high level of exhaust fumes within the cabin as well as performance issues that come with a dramatic leak. The gasket broke down into two pieces with the bonding material having completely melted away, see pictures of this.
According to Cobra this is the first reported issue of this, a statement that is ‘not supported’ by a well known and respected tuner known for their knowledge of the 1.8 20v turbo. Cobra have disputed any known issue so I am keen to hear if any of you have experiences of this?
