google states awp is a vw jetta 2002 - 2005, but regardless the theory of the brackets is a good 'un!
Cutting a V in the rubber to release the pressure is probably easier unless you have the brackets ready made tho

Sorry for dragging this thread back up...but it seems the most applicable.

One of my coil packs - 2nd from the left, is persistant in 'popping up.'

When ever giving my car a good clean, i have now learnt to always take the engine cover off and check the coil packs, and i can guarantee the 2nd from left pack has always popped up so its touching the metal bracket thing on top.

My car drives fine - no misfiring or nothing other than it revs in between gear changes when driving it hard, but im told this is caused by a throttle body leak??! Although i cannot find one!

Anyway...that photo above of the 'v-shaped' slit cut into the rubber - does it actually work? Anyone prove this by doing it?

Had to do the same to mine aswell...

seems to be the same coilpack on a few cars aswell not sure if this is down to a design point of view though...

Digging up an old thread again! Does anyone know if you can use bolt down coil packs and retain the engine cover mounts / brackets, as they are bolted into some of the rocker cover holes...

Got my leon cupra yesterday, was amazing then horror! everytime i hit boost it would judder 2/3 times then pick up. I came home mortified, jumped on the forum and read this thread. You made my day! Checked the coil and sure enough it was raised, all under warranty so back it goes but thanks for calmin me down guys
