Over the weekend I have seen many pieces of coil spring next to potholes. There is no corrosion where my spring broke indicating that it had only just happened. The paint has been removed where the spring rubs into the seat and there is some surface corrosion there.
Are you saying that if a certain type of seat is found then a spring will be replaced for free?

Bad news: contunued to drive on the broken spring for two weeks and it has dropped down but the good news is that I have managed to aquire two 2nd hand front struts from an Altea FR '05. I will put the FR springs and shocks on at the weekend and have some 2.0 TDI Sport spares should anyone need them.

still driving my altea 116k and running well, (black smoke when i boot it). now the rear springs in need of replacement, broken and one of the shockers is weeping. so any ideas on what this will cost? i am guessing that alignment will also be required.

Had it done on mine a couple of years back. Spring on one side, shocker on the other side, so had both done on both sides. Had it done at my local garage with genuine parts, and as I recall it wasn't much more than £200.

Broken rear springs on my seat altea 2.0 sport and trying to find a new pair. Am i right to use 1k051111bf white and 3 yellow paint marks? any ideas of a supplier to west midlands?
