Hey guys

Been looking into coilovers and done a bit of searching and can't find what im looking for so have made this thread

I currently have a leon fr 2.0tdi
With eibach springs im looking for more lows but i drive 15000 miles a year so comfort is paramount!

Eibach do coilovers are they the same Springs with adjustable dampers or are they different?

Or do you have any suggestions on something that would meet my needs?

Thanks gregor

Are you looking for adjustable damping and height? Or just height?

Will you be tracking it or just casual driving with the occasional country lane hammering?

In that case id say you're wasting money by going for ones around your budget of £1000 as they'll be way more than what you want.

I have a CR170 and went for AP coilovers at £436 and I'm pleased with them. Firm but not as crashy as the standard suspension. Definite improvement in handling and looks :)

I've done 24k in the last year on mine, mostly motorway. The ride really isn't much different to standard fl suspension. If you have a pre fl FR it will be more comfortable.

Think being dragged head first over stones with be more comfortable than the pre FL. My pre FL FR is harsh but its even worse due to living mainly away from big towns. Good to see where money isnt being spent on roads [:@]

That's my current CR170 on AP coilovers. Back can go down loads still.

Anyone have any problems with the wheels hitting the arch? Was looking at H&R Comfort suspension kit, £565; top line make but bit over budget for what I want to spend for something to lower by 25-30mm. AP coilovers seem a good choice for lowering and having adjustability.
