Hi

I've just bought some 17" Octavia VRS spider's to go on my mk4 Ibiza FR TDi and looking for the best option to lower it without sacrificing on ride comfort too much as its my daily. Not looking for the slammed look, just want to reduce the arch gap so it sits nicely, i'll be fitting 205/40/17 tyres. I've been looking at the 45mm Spax springs or the JOM coilovers on the DPM website.

Looking for anyone who's had either of these kits for a bit of advice, tried a search but couldn't really find any answers.

Cheers,

Luke

It all depends on buget to behonest but as the saying goes u get what u pay for coils are better if u wanting to slam but springs and shocks are better for small adjustment and ride quilty unless u have a large buget my slef I use weltic 30mm lowering springs on my Cupra tdi which had the same size wheels as u have just brought and the ride is slightly better than standerd but am still running my standerd shocks I wouldn't buy buget serspension tobehonest I'd spend tht little extra my slef

Cheers for the reply, not looking to slam the car but also don't want an arch gap you could fit your head in.

If anyone has the JOM coilovers or the FK AK Street coilovers I'd be interested in getting some opinions as to what the ride is like

I'd say go for coilovers over just changing the springs.

The JOM kit is very popular for the Ibiza 6L and offers a good ride quality for everyday road use.
