If you buy a whole kit I think that's all you need mate

New top mounts if there not part of the kit.

Are these actually needed? Or is it just advised to change them over? I'll be getting coilovers in the new year, and my car has done 115000 odd miles, so might be wise to change mine

Depending on the condition of your standard ones you may need new top mounts for the front and rear and also rear bump stops.

Put it this way, its like having a shower and then going on putting on your dirty underwear again.

Get them done, unless they were already replaced recently, there relativetly cheap and will only further enhance the feel of the car.
