Id buy budgets if your looking lows. Apparently JOM's are good for the money. I wouldnt go for either of those ebay ones ahead of JOM or FK AK Street tbh.

I have KW V1's but they're not even that comfy. I got mine 2nd(3rd) hand, definately wouldnt be buying them at brand new prices, unless I had a quick car and wanted decent handling.

Go on lowerks.com, good prices on there. Or damien at DPM sells JOM's at a good price.

budgets are back breaking though jonny. if youve ever ran budgets on th mk4 youd know what i mean lol. im going for weitecs or ap's when i go for my coilys.

You have to make sacrifices for lows!

I was going to buy AP's originally, but ended up buying KW's off my mate.
But I'd say they are just as bad as budgets for comfort. Could be that they are quite old now and have done a lot of miles.

yea might be. yea i didnt mind making sacrifices but having your engine mount stop you gettiung up onto a speedbump thn having to reverse out of a drive thru isnt that fun haha well it was at he time and still is now but you get what i mean haha

Cheers guys bud at the min I can't afford the £400+ coilovers I just want something for low's for the min then I will upgrade.

how much are the JOM or FK AK Street coilovers? I can't find them anywhere!!

They are about £190.

But if you are planning an upgrade in the future, would a good set of lowering springs not to good enough until you can afford something a little better?

As a lot of people say, you buy cheap, you buy twice.

Lowering springs are a waste of money if you plan on moving to coilovers anyway. Just buy cheap coilovers, they are worth it if you cant afford £400+.

Both the same tbh. Same ride quality, same lowering capabilities I think and both need shorter drop links.

JOM come with 2 year warrenty, FK AK with 1 year. So I'd say JOM.

But it looks like both are out of stock on DPM's website...

Tbh you DO need the warranty on coils as dampers have been known to fail!
