Coilpack replacement - Management light still on....

Hey guys, only had my mk3 Cupra for a couple of weeks now, and had what appeared to be a coil pack go on me. So I've replaced all 4 earlier on, and the car now runs fine again!

However, the engine management light is still on the dash, I'll assume I need to get my hands on VAG com to erase it...

But what I wanted to just make sure, for my peace of mind, is that the car will be all ok to still drive around with the engine management light still on?

I'm assuming it's ok, but I just get paranoid thinking it might make a coil pack go weak or something! lol.

A quick yes or no would be fine for me.

Cheers, Chris

Yeah cheers mate, I'll try and get my hands on someones VAG com who are local(ish) or something.

I'm assuming the light isn't on for anything else due to the fact it's back to normal...but who knows ey!

r8byb, did you drive with the light still on for sometime before you cleared it? or do they tend to clear themselves after a while?

Right, disconnected the battery for half an hour and it's worked a treat! The cars back to normal again and very chuffed!

So thanks a lot everyone (and also for not yelling "SEARCH" at me! :p)
