Anyone got any problems LCR's with painted Brembo's? As in not Red...

Thinking about doing them in a different colour but would this be morally "wrong"? lol

Would still have "Brembo" on them but wouldnt be standard Brembo Red.

Btw they not guna be Yellow (common other colour for big brakes) plus yellow usually indicates "ceramic brakes"

I will prob start/add a poll to this thread when i get onto a computer.

Im not concerned about discolouring, just wondering if it is as wrong to paint LCR brembos a different colour as it it to put a dress on a dog? Or not? Lol

i know what ya mean, my bro in law stuffed his RED VX220 turbo, when he re built it he had it painted RED again but the honda civic type R red, he got loads of stick for doing it!!

on the other hand i like the red on the brembos BUT when my car gets painted im refurbing them too, i was going to do them gloss black with yellow BREMBO graphic
also doing the grills and rims gloss black, the brembos wont be in ya face like i feel the should be though IMO

Iv considered this but then they would blend with the discs :(

I might get my brakes powder coated when i get my wheels done.

Im not going Red so i will need to have them off and strip them first i woulda thought for a proper job. Could have them shot blasted?

I've always fancied polished metal Brembo's but it's far easier to just repaint them red...a job for this weekend.

you'd have to use clear laquer to prevent the aluminium from oxidising but i agree mate - they'd look cool and very original!

I think these would really suit your motor mate. Mine are in need of a new coat of paint, I was thinking gloss black, red brembo sticker and red bolts.

oh thank you, i think it will give it a fresh look and all blend in and look normal.

the sticker i have (some where) cost me a small fortune, i was told they are heat proof and wont distrought at all, they also told me to clear coat over the top of them.
i have one of the yellow one on my splitter and i spilt some water on the backing of it and dont like waste lol
