Sorry if this has been posted before but I can't find it....

I have the standard spec FR with the small MFD, when we leave the headlights on and lock the car they go off after 30 seconds or so. (The wife likes this feature especially in the M&S car park) But when we return to the car they don't automatically come on when the car is unlocked.

Should they or is this feature only available with the convenience pack and auto lights.

Cheers

I thought the coming home function meant that the car sent a signal to the kettle when you pulled into the drive so the kettle was boiled ready for a cuppa when you went into the house!!

I have to admit I haven't worked a lot out on the car yet!

LOL, I got that to work OK, there is a magic button on my phone that calls the wife as I am pulling into the street.

I believe it is only a feature on the convenience pack (my lights switch on remotely only when the lights are set to Auto.)

Yep, thats how they work
To get them to auto come on, then you need the convenience pack.

That is bad work from SEAT on the brochure then.

I've never gone exploring so haven't played, but based on the brochure, it says I should have them on two different pages.

Wonder what else I think I should have based on the information in the brochure, which I perhaps I don't have.

Huh

Don't get what you mean?

The lights are only ever designed to stay on when you are using them and leave them on when you get out the car. No where (not in my broucher at least!) does it say the come on when you come back to it. That to me is "auto-lights" which is what the convenience pack does/has.

cheers guys, looks like I will just have to stop her going to M&S. :)

I suppose on the bright side (Or not in my case) it will save my battery.

The manual also says you can get into the menu to change certain features but again it doesn't say you need bluetooth before you can do it.

It would have been nice for the dealer to point some of these things out seen as they had no brochures. I even ordered one from the web site that never came.

Mind you these are my only grips with the car so I am not doing bad.

Have you tried putting key in ignition and turning on, not just unlocking ? My lights come on then (I think).

The auto on lights only come on when its dark, and you need the light sensor of the con pack for that.
The light sensor is in the car already as the coming home lights only work in the dark .
there is probably some way to turn on the return function just needs to found on vagcom
