When hitting the throttle hard, specially in corners I get a deep rattle from what sounds like the passanger seat frame or similar, could also be underneat the car. Havent taken the efford to fix yet as I´ve recently fitted a miltek turboback system and have to fix that first. I can tell you for sure that that one REALLY rattles when getting warm and expands!!!

eslewhere I think my cupra is healthy and have all the same rattles as everyone else:)(speedo, bootlid) good to hear that Im not alone!!!

Yeh i get the boot lid one every now and then. My main rattle is from the stereo area. The most annoying high pitch squeal. Stops if i press just below the station numbers. Gotta get it sorted as it is slowly driving me to insanity

Milo,

try what i said above I had the same couple of months back and once i removed the centre console and unscrewed the bracket it went away thank god as it was really doing my head in. I think its the bracket that holds a bit of the dash behind the centre storage thing to the floor. I had to remove the full centre console as well as the handbrake housing etc, half hour tops but well worth it. :D Going to have a go at the boot lid this weekend. weather permitting! Hope this help!

passenger airbag area for the first 2mins from cold start.

Slight rattle top left of speedo area, a slight tightening of the small screw underneath should fix.

Just turn the music up louder :)

i get the airbag rattle from cold. does anyone know what that might be? does my head in.

Sorted the boot rattle this wkend after removing everything anf a couple of roadtests - it was the boot catch - bit of grease and its sorted so now I am rattle free for the time being! Just wish i grease it 1st before taking everything to pieces. Ah well! :)

ive got the seat creak evrytime i pull away :banghead:

got to sort out my roof rattle aswell slowly getting worse.

cant even turn my music up to drown it out because my left rear speaker fooked.

that combined with my break squeal (crap pads havent got round to changing them yet)

:headhurt: :headhurt: :headhurt:

Right, it's now got much worse, I'm sure it's behind the centre air vents but I can't get into that area. I've taken the whole centre console apart, seems like it's coming from behind the coin storage area. If I put a screw driver in where the top right of the centre console clips in and push down, it's perfect, but I've failed to wedge anything there to stop the squeak.

I'm not roadtripping anywhere with that squeak happening. Can anyone help me getting behind the vents, can't seem to see what should undo in order to get at them. There's a plate stopping access between the vents and where the stereo comes out. Doing my head in.

Mine rattles from the driver side window, mostly noticeable on bumpy roads, I tend to just turn the stereo up, but it's definately annoying!

I had the boot rattle, so replaced all the broken clips, stuck some foam on the bottom where lid closes, much firmer now, but theres still a rattle from the boot lock but im just ignoring it now!!!

its the greasing of the boot latch that fixes this :) i also used spray glue to hold the plastic in place as well :) worked a treat

Spent an hour in the sun sorting out my squeeks, seems like I've finally scared off the bird that lived in my dash.

Removed the plate behind the stereo unit so I could get closer to the problem, a little WD40 in a couple of spots. The main fix was adjusting the plastic under the centre dash, where the cubby hole is. Seemed like passenger side of that needed tightening / foaming, so difficult to tell where the sound comes from but that seems to have done it. Someone mentioned in a "squeek" thread about that part being the cause, seems so. FINALLY SOME PEACE AND QUIET :)

A tip to stop some of the boot rattles get 2 normal car washing sponges and cut them in half then wedge them in the little holes that you need to remove to access the rear bulbs in the boot.
