Right sorry if this has been mentioned before but i have just viewed Revo Technik' website to look at the expected power outputs for a 1.4 TSI Ibiza Cupra. On the power grpahs they are stating the units for power as bhp and the torque as Nm. However i was always under the impression that the Cupra and Boca had 184 lb/ft although revo is stating it as 184 Nm anyone car to enlight me with the correct figures please, as i have worked out 209 Nm which is the result from the map only gives 150 lb/ft.

thanks in advance

are tou looking at the right tsi engine cause the cupra and boc have a standard of 250nm so maybe you are looking at the specs of the tsi that is turbo only and not super+turbocharged

it is for the 1.4 tsi cupra ibiza, so definetly the correct one.

if your claiming it has 250nm standard then this does work out to be 184 lb/ft of torque so think this has solved my question :D

cheers mate

Yeah Vpower all the way! Check the link in my sig for rolling road results.

If you look at the Revo map even thought they have similar peak torque the revo holds it for a lot longer so even thought the extra torque figure doesn't look great it will be felt higher up the rev range.

Having stripped mine a little I can now see why Ibizaracebrakes is so rapid on track and down the quater mile. 220BHP will be insane. The 100ron Revo map has been tweaked and now makes around 225Peak and will work nicely with Vpower.

For the 1.4 twincharged.

APR 203 hp and 234 LB-FT => 316 nm.

Revo 215 hp and 216 LB-FT => 283 nm

ΑΒΤ 210 hp and 290 nm

In my eyes the peak power and torque on the ABT and Revo maps are best. I'd rather have more BHP and less torque with our DSG box's. The 99 ron mode on the Revo car is running around 225BHP not sure on the torque figure.

ive heard that the dsg gearbox can only cope with a certain amount of torque as personally i would prefer more torque as this is what you would feel when flooring it

It's not the gearbox, that's mechanically pretty much a gearbox as normal, the clutch however is quite small

a right so there could be problems with this then...

very ignorant question now.........

remaps are only picked up on vagcom, if you took a car into the garage with a clutch problem would they check this? to see if there is a problem why the clutch has gone? as it would be covered under warranty.

another thing, what maps have people got/would recommend.

A clutch wouldn't be covered under warranty anyhow as it's a wear and tear item unless if was very low mileage, and yes I would think they would check the engine ecu.
