Everytime I wash the car one of the headlights gets condesation in it and mists up - takes about 3 or 4 days to disappear which is a bit of an irritation. Dealer says some Ibiza's have similar problems.

Anyone else experienced this yet?

Yeah, I've got that - seems to be a common problem with Seats. Doesn't take too long to clear up tho.

Passat that we've got also has problem with condensation but not to the same extent.

have this with one of my headlights at the moment, problem is that it has filled the headlight with water over the past 3 weeks. Went to the dealet today and ordered new headlight under warranty.
:( :(

its a common fault

Next time you wash it take some photo's and take them in to your dealer......

they should sort it under warranty.....

It's because of the plastic covers - they don't expand and contract like glass do, think they move more so consequently it is much harder to get a proper seal. Given the numerous leaks that Seats are known for this doesn't really surprise!

Thanks.

Seems to have stopped now though - I tried washing the car with almost cold water instead of warm and it seemed to work!

My new ibiza + it's stemed up headlight

Hi,
I've just got a 3 year old Seat ibiza, which I think is great....apart from its near side headlight which is full of condensation.
This is very annoying, as the whole car looks great apart from the headlight. I've contacted Seat, who have stated that it isn't their fault and words to the affect of... "natuare has created your headlight to not work". Now I don't buy this. If I'm gonna spent quite a lot of money on a new car (ok it's 3 years old but you can see where I'm going with this) then I expect it to damm well look good and work well.
Anyway, getting to the point, they've said there going to take photo's (Smile :D ) of my car and if THEY deem it broken enough, they'll fx it.

Has anyone else had this problem and how did they sort it out (I really hope someone has sorted it out)?
