Confused.... BAM or AGU???

Hey guys.
i bought a 20vt engine recently with code AGU as i was told they are better quality than the BAM engines etc etc but then i spoke to a technician who works for seat (master tech to be precise) and he said the BAM unit is a better engine due to the quality of the head, he said the BAM units have a bigger valve port etc etc.

now..... i'm confused!! which is the best and for what reasons??

any help would be greatly appreciated!

doi listen to the master tech or the lads from the edition 38 forums?! lol

I'd ignore the 'master tech' as he's wrong.

AFAIK neither are 'large port' heads (but the BAM definately isn't)

was just a bit confused as he said the agu head is rubbish quality compared to the bam and that i should just go for that. This master tech really knows his stuff though as he builds race cars.... so you'd think he would know what he's talking about? dunno what to do now.....i'm just a girl with no idea! (haha i wish!)

AGU had a largeport head. (Earlier engine) but was non VVT. Unless you are chasing BIG power, I would have thought the later BAM engine would have been the better bet.

well i'm not chasing massive power but i'm after enough. i think if i got a later bam engine it'll be stronger and thereforemore reliable at the power i'm after.
