Connect Ipod to CD6, what cable?

I read a thread somewhere and found that you can connect an ipod up to the cd player using the CD6 button. Didn't really understand what was being said, but is that possible and if so what cable would I need?

You will need to add a wire to slot no.14 (if your read the first thread it will make sense) and attach the other end to the bolt at the back of the stereo (this earth it and trick it into thinking there is a CD changer attached!) I did this just a few days ago and it works a treat! I have the cable coming out into the slot below the stereo for now.

You got ideas about where you are going to put the wire then other than underneath the stereo, I wouldn't know where else it could go?
