Hi guys, I've recently bought a Connect2 Ipod adaptor from an ebay shop. The other night I installed it all, plugged up my Ipod and then found the music coming through the speakers was distorting. So I tried a unplugging it and plugging it back up, tried various earthing points and tried 3 different Ipods in it no avail.

So off back went the adaptor to the shop and today a new one arrived (thinking the issue was with the adaptor) wired it in and straight away had the same issue, distortion no matter how quiet and low the bass settings were set.

The only thing I can think that’s wrong is that they keep sending me the adaptor for an Audi, although the plug fits into the Aura unit and controls the Ipod just fine I can't help but wonder if its causing the distortion?

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Or had anything to try before I send this one back and demand a Seat specific one?

Any help would be apreciated.

how does the adaptor connect to the head unit? is it via the aerial or via CD changer connection?
I wouldnt imagine if your getting sound that its an issue with the wiring, either the interface box or head unit.

If its an aerial connection then obviously that could be the issue.

Another question, do you have any aftermarket electrical items fitted to the car? The reason I ask is that in my car my cd changer/aux adaptor is affected when I switch on my headlights since I fitted HID's but if i turn the radio off and back on then its ok.

Thanks for your reply Mark. The unit connects through the CD changer. I don't have any other after market electrical items fitted.

Think I may just have to order another from from a different shop :(
