Hey folks!

I have been looking for a late MK4 Cupra TDi for a while due to my work commute costing me a bit much on my current MK4 Cupra petrol...

Anyway, after seeing some, frankly, stupid prices for a 06/07 car, I have started to look at buying a new car (for the first time in my life lol) after all, getting the 3 years warranty, no MOT needed etc is handy! (i've usually bought 2 year old cars, but no such luck with newer Cupra's as they are too new!)

Love the Bocanegra...But stands out way too much for me, i'd be too paranoid, besides I only like Black cars!

Anyway i've started looking at a new Cupra, I know of the delays, not really a problem to wait a bit, I get stuck in a lot of traffic so DSG would be very handy!

Anyway, rambling over...

I'd love the racing brakes, leather seats maybe, but couldn't justify the cost! But what are the other essentials needed? Xenons I guess? And the bluetooth pack?

Im just getting some quotes!

Have you all financed your cars ? Over 3 , 4, years? Or have some of you jammy dodgers bought outright?

:)

I have put Xenons, bluetooth pack, convience pack, side curtain airbags and its speed blue on my cupra which was built last week, waiting time is around 12-16weeks. i dont think there are really any essentials as you like to put it, its completely up to you on what you think you may need to have on your car. I put xenons on because i work night shifts, so its handy. but yeh racing brakes i have heard are really good too have.

Mine is financed over 4 years and 48,000 miles. costing me £350 a month, but mine includes tax, servicing, maintenance, warranty and so i just dont have to do anything to it... just contact seat.

i.ve just ordered a cupra standard as it comes with almost everything i'm used to bar a heated front screen but that wasn't am option any way.

i.ve been told the wait will be bout 4 months (ordered last wk).

You will find the dealers won't give much deals on it. I managed to get £250 off the list price and a very generous price for my car, o and first yr service free. But it did take me a couple of days to get it and phoning between 2 dealers. 1k down 42month pcp £314 a month.

tomtom dash mount was a bit of a bargn for £35, saves having the hassle of wires everywhere. Zenons also gives your day time runnings lights, which lokk rather smart:)

Yeah I have the boc which should be arriving real soon with bi-xenons, racing brakes (highly recommended), con pack, side curtains aux-usb. Financed over 5 years 33500.00 deposit making it roughly £340.00pcm. Defo get the racing brakes if you're into some spirited driving. All the ppl who have them love them and praise them and those who don't say they wish they had got them as the extra braking power does come in handy.

33K deposit, man thats generous ;) In all seriousness, do you have a final payment? Or is that paid outright at the end?

Can the dash mount be fitted later?

I'd never considered getting a TomTom and as such didn't even think about the dash mount.
i'd always much rather just google map/aa atlas directions until my folks bought me one for christmas, I can't have a gadget and not use it, but having the car charger plugged in and trailing down the dash spoils the look somewhat.

Essentials:
Electric Folding Mirrors
Sports Brakes
Xenons

My bad. deposit was £3500.00 NOT £33500.00 hahahahaha. Car only costs 19k with all my extras hahahahahahahaha. So finance amount is £15500.00 no final payment as it is straight finance. I looked at doing it over 3 years with a 35% res but payments were only like £10 or £20 cheaper per month and I don't plan on selling the car soon so would rather do the 5 years and own out right after that. Good list of essentials though. Leather may look good but can you absolutely justify the spend on them......................

no dash mount has to be factory fitted. cupra comes standard with folding mirrors.
personally i think it has quite alot of kit as standard the only ones that i looked into was the xenons and brakes but i wanted to keep payments as low as possible.
think its good as racing brakes can be bought and fitted after but you dont get the full size alloy like a factory order. this obv makes it cheaper to purchase afterwards.

I got my Candy white cupra on sat with racing brakes as an option and i must say they are superb when you braking hard (for a changing traffic light for example and you doin close to :censored: in a 60) there is no brake fade what so ever and you face feels like its gonna fall off :D they are deffo worth the cash and the alloy spare is a nice touch also :).

Apart from that im not missing anything else but thats not supprising considering my last car was a saxo 1.1 lol

Yea I'm financing almost exactly the same, & my payments are £330pm for 3 years, but i have a ballon at the end of about 6k.

Fredthered, have you posted any pic's??? sounds nice :)

Brake wise, Seat Sport items are by all accounts great, & look the business too - just pricey, & I'm tight. I didn't go for them as I'm waiting a little while then going for the 312mm swop.

IMO racing brakes and xenons. I'd put xenon's before brakes if your on a budget.

Yeah the car DEFINITELY has to have xenons otherwise it just doesnt look the same.

and im payin £6300 deposit and paying about £255 a month over 5yrs

i havent even put down a deposit :S didnt even think i needed too? or well i havent been told this? i just got to pay £350 every month and then final payment of £5795 if i want to keep it... or i can trade it back in and get a new car :) interesting stuff! but this is 4 years from now.
