Olly - what colour yellow is that you used? Did you paint over the black? or did you remove it somehow... OR did it just fall out like mine?

Also - is that a years worth of wear on the paint? I lost 4 of my 5 letters in the space of 2 months?

Most of my letters fell out so i picked the rest of the black out with a sharp knife, then used tuch-up paint and a modle making paint brush.
That is about a years worth wear.

I went from Cupra - to Cup and now I've just got 'P'... I've tried to get the bugger out but it's not shifting! Might just have to go over it I suppose

Audi TT FWD short shifter. Shortens shift but about 20% (£22, 8N0 711 051)

Will this fit a 5 speed Mk3 Cupra box? As i thought TT's were 6 speed?

whats involved with fitting a short shift ?

the TT short shifter sits on the gear box and is easy to fit

the b & m which reduces the height of the gear stick has more work involved -

center exhaust has to come down, then heat shield, etc

i know it sounds ghetto but surley if you want to reduce the height of the shifter you just cut the tubing ?

oh btw my shifter is controlled by a tube that is clamped down on the the extension from the gear box... will that work with mine ?

Nope wont work mate the linkage on the 1.4s is way diferent to the cupra's. The only way to get a short shifter on yours is either a B&M or cut your gear stick down
