Anyone get any problems with fitting the stubby aerial?? I tried fitting mine today and seems to be to short for it to get a thread
You just need to twist the thread out from the aerial itself to make it longer

does the tt s/s keep the standard reverse yea. any reason for cutting an 1.5" of the length of the gear stick.
the TT shifter is in the engine bay, not by the gear stick. yes all the shifts and gear selects are kept the same exept they are 20% shorter.
cutting 1.5" off the gear stick is a ghetto way of reducing the throw of the gear stick. drive along and change gear as normal, then hold the gear stick right at the bottom of the stick (near where the ball joint is) then shift again.
the one where you are holding the stick closer to the ball joint, basically you are not having to push the gear knob so far so mechanically shortening the throw.
by doing this though you will have an increased effort load due to the Torque formulae....
Toprque = force x perpendicular distance.
reduce the distance, you in crease the force to keep the same torque.
