coolant pipes to the oil pump?

Hi all

If you look just below the oil filter you can see where two small coolant pipes go in and out, is this the oil pump?

correct, got pointed that way by a member on tdiclub, thanks for your reply too though.

Looks like im going to have to replace it on the golf.

be prepared to sacrifice the pipes, they could be baked on

yeah new pipes are needed anyway cause the previous owner had it bodged to be removed and they cut off the pipes to blank them off.
