Coolant Temp Sensor

Hi all,

Prob a daft question. But had a collant temp sensor fault code so bought a new one. Does anyone know where this is located?

its a Set Leon 1.6 16v petrol

It's in the coolant bottle - don't ask me how to change it though, you need someone who knows about cars for that

No it isn't The sensor in the coolant header tank is the *level* sensor. The temperature sensor is

AZD, AUS - in the thermostat housing
AKL, AEH - in the connection pipework attached to the end of the cylinder head

2 minute job, you need to plug the new sensor in quick tho after you pull the old one out otherwise you'l loose fluid...... There is a guide on how to change it and where it located
