why?

I for one really like them, handy for me as i have to park/manouvere on dark streets, and it gives that little extra guidance as to wher the kerb is, helping me protect those rather tasty alloys.

Yes it helps, but i am really sick of people telling me i have a fog light out

then trying to explain that it is supposed to do it, and getting a puzzled look back haha

I usually just put my fog lights on whenever i can simply to stop it happening.

totally agree tbh i see people with fogs on just as the sun is setting i hate it. I didnt mean all the time I meant whenever i get the opportunity haha

Yes and no,

If you have to do a 3 point turn up a back road for instance ave found them very handy

but then again driving into mcdonalds after 10pm and every1 tells you 1 of your fog lights are out is getting annoying lol

The new leon has these too and to be honest i dont like it as someone has says to me and others they look like a bulb has gone and the driver has his fog lights on when not needed. If i get a FL leon and its possible i would get them disabled with VAG com i'm afraid.
