I managed this morning to reverse off a curb ( one i reverse off 2 times a day for the last year ) and managed to pull it off on one side........so i got it in the garage at home tonight and its a bit of a tight fit down either side.....managed to get it back on all sweet then brushed past my wing mirror and it virtually fell off , there is a metal ring inside the joint that seems to have coroded away and now its forked.........do i need to get a whole new wing mirror as this ring is what keeps it tight in the bottom housing.....if so is it possible to get one in the factory blue colour already painted and just whack it on and bobs your aunt? :)....if so where!....and if i can just replace the metal ring then where can i get that from?

cheers!!....not having much luck today as you can tell!! :cartman:

Can't just replace the pin, and the pin and spring are really hard to compress to fit. I had to weld the spling closed to do mine.

Chances are you'll have to order either a genuine or a pattern part, you can use your existing mirror case if its not damaged to save on costs of spraying the new one. You can also use the electrical bits out of your current one on a mechanical one if really needed.
