I get a creak from the drivers side rear as I'm pulling away (it doesn't happen all the time but on a regular basis), could this be the well known rear seat latch noise? I had a freind in the back yesterday and she said that it seemed to be coming from the rear post/seat/door area though she couldn't really pin point it. I'm thinking it could be the suspension as it only seems to happen when the rear end moves as I pull away. Only thing that doesnt fit with this theory is that the noise doesn't appear under cornering or during gear changes under hard acceleration etc, only when first pulling away.

Any ideas?

i have the same on my car atm. sounds like the suspension creaking or something.. mines a derv and apparently its just a noise they make but i am not convinced.

i dont have standard suspension so i cant take it to the dealers, but i know exactly what you mean.

then again, my car has had a few knocks recently, so honestly, i am supprised its even going in a straight line any more.

Does it creak when going over speed bumps? Mines does and I think it's the rear anti-roll bar. The LCR is infamous for it.

nope, mine only ever happens like cuprablues, only when pulling away. as i siad, it sounds like the rear right suspension area type thing!

Should have said it's an LC, so no ARB at the rear, (I don't think). Thanks anyway.

Just been out for a drive by myself and I've just realised that it wasn't happening. I don't have people in the back very often so I think its related to having more weight at the rear. Looking more and more like a suspension issue now.
