Have you got in touch with Accident Exchange or a similar place yet? Suggest you do that or get your own insurance company involved ASAP so they can get this sorted the way it should have been in the first place!

F*CK the insurers and the garage ring them up and tell them your writing to trading standards regarding both companies to demand a full investigation, tell them what you are saying and ask them for a person to send a copy of the letter to.

Tell them about the person buying a bumper as the dealer will have a record of it being ordered and let them investigate the whole lot.

You will no doubt be put straight onto a manager and have your arse kissed, get what you want out of them................... and send the letter anyway.

if you don't have any excess to pay......... get a mate with a **** car and crash into him, he then sues the hire companies insurers for whiplash, which you split between you ;)

I use to work in car rentals and this WORKS!!!!

If you do have an excess go and do a few dohnuts, handbrake turns, emergency stops, 180's 360's etc. Oh and steal off it whatever they won't notice when they come to collect it. Spare wheel and tool kits are easy to get away with

DISCLAIMER: i do not agree with the actions of any of the above, they are however all possible.

This whole situation really is starting to get beyond a joke. Have you tried somewhere like Citizens advice to see where you stand in the situation.

And scrap value for the car is a joke, after all the money you have put into the engine along to get it re-built etc.

i rekon so, ive tried to get them not to but the only way is for me to pull the claim, meaning id get no money what so ever and would then prob be liable to pay all fees

I hope you've seriously f*cked up that hire car.

Lesson here people thoroughly check all cars previous owners, if it says a hire company or a dealer (cars can be regged to dealers to cover up that they are hire cars) then run away!!!

cupra kid is basically saying, dont buy 'used' dealers cars as they can be registered to the dealer but used as hire cars.. = they have been ragged.

im not the kinda guy who would ruin any one elses property, but hire cars are a must for abuse.
when my mate had a TDI is ragged it straight from cold and didnt let it warm up or cool down. bit bad in my eyes, but was fooking funny at the time
