I've seen this on Viktors speed blue cupra and thought I'd have a go at doing it with a little explanation.

First, I had to find where I could connect the wires for the LED's to work. I wanted them dimable like the other instrument lights.

The two wires with the scotch locks on are the ones. One is negative and the other wire drops voltage on a multimeter when the dimmer wheel is turned.

(I can solder etc but wanted to be able to make this mod removable in the future)

I took off the trim which houses the USB port with 3 t20 torx screws.

Drilled two 6mm holes one roughly over each cup holder. Placed the LED holders in and secured them with a little nut on the back.

I ran the 2 wires from the the back of the dimmer switch through the dash to where the lights were going.

Used spades to connect the LED's to the + and - and gave it a test.

Placed the trim back and screwed the 3 screws back up.

Voilà!

Cool :) One of the mods where i wouldn't feel comfortable enough to pull off well but would love to do.

good for you mate :) congrats, looks good ;)

Also, you can install an ambient light to light the foot / mats zone, I did it and looks so sexy :)

The first you need are the underneath covers.

cheers

p.d: I need time to update my mods post, hehe.
