Worth getting Powerflex bushes over the Cupra ones on the wishbones?

Cheers :)

Raymond

If your going to do Both front wishbone bushes then i would say yes

If your only doing the rear bush on the front wishbone then stick with the cupra std ones.

I bought my car about one yeat ago and the front wishbone bushes had already been changed for Powerflex bushes. My car had pretty bad torque steer, and about two months ago I swapped these Powerflex bushes again for Superpro (poly) bushes, as well as changing the dogbone mount for a Super pro polyurathane item.

The difference was immediate, with virtually no torque steer at all when driving / hard acceleration, however the only downside is that there is a bit more vibration through the cabin at tickover.

The superpro bushes are of the same material as the Powerflex items, however they have what looks like steel ribbing to strengthen them up. This is one of the best mods that I have done to my Ibiza. The wishbone mounts were about £45, and the dogbone mount was about £95 which I got off an ebay shop. Defo worth doing.

Performance wise, my car is a stage 1 FR TDI, approx 170bhp and 300 lb/ft from a Jabba map, FMIC, green filter and Milltek TBE.

Raymond,

I got my prices mixed up. I had the wishbone bushes with a part number SPF3271K at £96 from an ebay shop called Modworld, with an e-mail address of [email protected]. As I remember, there was a review on Briskoda for the vRS, and these were the ones that were recommended.

The dogbone bush cost £40, and has a part number SPF2907-70K.

Hope it helps
