Are the running costs between the two THAT different do you know dude? thanks!

cupra r, iv got a tdi cupra and now whenever i see one i always wish i had waited that bit longer and paid the extra for cupra r,imo better bodykit, better std wheels and the brembos look ace and the recaros top it off if youcan afford it get an r.

Thanks dude :)... it's mainly the brakes/tires that are different eh? the general day to day running isn't that much different is it? fuel usage wise too, both seem to get around 300 miles tops for mixed driving? Thanks!

Yea about 300 to a tank ;) the lcr has better wheels Better bumpers and side skirts bigger better breaks and nicer interia ;)

Thanks dude, looks like my wallet is going to take some abuse for the LCR then :)

The running cost are pretty much the same, it just depends what makes of parts you choose to run. Im running stage 2 on my lcr and did a eco run the otherday, mixed types of roads over 20miles and got a average of 32 mpg. If i boot it i get 18 so it also depends on your driving style. My overall average is 24mpg.

That's impressive considering what you've done mods wise... I'd be aiming to keep it all stock for the mean time. Thanks again!

Well get the lcr properly sorted then wave bye bye to the sorted cupra :wave:
Lol

Depends wich one ;) a cupra will say bye bye to a mk2 Ibiza anyway unless it's bills then his 600+bhp mk2 will puddle on your back wheels and **** down your air intake :p

That things a beast ;)

to be fair the Cupra was never the underdog to the cupra R,

the Cupra R in reality was the replacement for the Cupra 2002 onwards, since the Cupra was the flagship car from 1998-99 to 2002-2003

no dening the cupra R is a better set up car, but i still think the Facelift cupra is a prettier car,

Either way Cupra- Cupra R, both capable cars,

i think the joys of owning a Cupra over a Cupra R is haveing the target of it being as quick if not quicker than a stock LCR which is a fairly easy mod,

End of the day we should pull together, and go eat some Scooby wrx's and sti's Instead :)(60-100 i must add :p)

Hi all

There was no doubt in my mind when i bough my LCR that was what i wanted!
i have purchased many cars before and not quite got the car i really wanted and it was always a disappointment, i found i was always modifing my cars trying to make them what i really wanted!
so in a nut shell i would wait and get what you REALLY want..... LCR all the way!

after much deliberation i think the lcr is def the one i will be going for i took a cupra out for a drive an it was a very wuick very capable car then i took a lcr for a drive and just instantly decided this is what i want.

5k will net me what i am after i hope so thats the price range i will be aiming for
